PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) — The Bay County Economic Development Alliance has other codenamed projects they hope to land and announce soon.
The “Great Dragon” project is a high-tech electrical products manufacturing company examining a site at the Intermodal Distribution Center near Highway 231.
It would provide 730 jobs in the region.
The ‘XMOD’ project is an aerospace builder that would bring 300 jobs and an investment of $80 million to the region.
The EDA also hopes to announce the “Cast” project soon, which is linked to the navy and would bring 105 jobs.
“Some of our hot projects that we are currently working on that will hopefully come to fruition are international companies looking to start operations in the United States and want to enter the market through Florida,” said Becca Hardin, President of the Bay Economic Development Alliance. “Panama City is a great place to start because we have ready-to-go locations, available buildings, and the manpower to be able to support their business needs so they can be successful in Panama City.”
Taken together, these currently codenamed projects would create more than 2,100 jobs in the region, with companies investing nearly $200 million.
