Grocery chain Dierbergs is hosting a job fair on Tuesday, April 19 to fill assistant manager and management trainee positions.
This is an in-person event from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dierbergs’ head office at 16690 Swingley Ridge Road in Chesterfield.

911 dispatchers needed
The city of Saint-Louis is looking for 911 dispatchers.
The work consists of receiving and evaluating telephone calls in the police division’s 911 call center, dispatching police units, redirecting calls to EMS dispatch, fire or emergency equipment dispatch. other agencies and to execute REJIS (Regional Justice Information System) and MULES (Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System) searches for missing and wanted/mandated vehicle and person records.
Pay starts at around $20 an hour with benefits.
SLATE Career Fair Seeks to Fill St. Louis Vacancies
Interested in a job with the city’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department?
The Saint-Louis Agency for Training and Employment (SLATE) assists the City’s Personnel Department in recruiting full-time and seasonal workers.
He will host another job fair on Tuesday, April 19 at the SLATE office, located at 1520 Market Street on the third floor.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and will continue until noon.
The department is especially looking for lifeguards, full-time and seasonal utility workers, recreation aides and tree trimmers.
You don’t have to be a resident of the city to qualify for seasonal jobs. These positions pay $15 per hour and come with competitive benefits.
Regional partners for holding the STL Manufacturing and Distribution Career Fair
There is another St. Louis Manufacturing and Distribution Career Fair coming soon.
It’s happening Thursday, April 21 from 1-6 p.m. at Conflux Co-Learning headquarters at 8221 Minnesota Avenue.
Conflux Co-Learning is partnering with the Office of Workforce Development and the Missouri Department of Higher Education for this event.
The goal is to help manufacturers and distributors fill many vacancies.
It’s free and open to the public.
Job seekers and students interested in machining, welding, robotics, logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain management, automation, maintenance, engineering, customer service, sales and accounting are welcome.
Many available positions don’t require a college degree, and some companies offer full benefits, signing bonuses, or career growth opportunities.
The SLATE team will be present at the job fair to provide information on services, programs, courses and other job search resources for those seeking career opportunities in the industry.

City of St. Louis, in partnership with Metro Transit, offers free transit passes to 3,000 eligible city youth
The St. Louis Agency for Training and Employment (SLATE) is accepting applications for the Gateway Go Youth Transit program.
Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the program provides free public transit to 3,000 city youth between the ages of 13 and 25 through the end of 2022; previously passes only operated during the summer months.
This expansion of the Gateway Go Youth Transit program will expand access for our youth, whether they are commuting to work, school or other activities that promote wellness, advancement and career development.

After registration, SLATE will follow up with individuals to schedule times to visit the SLATE offices at 1520 Market Street to apply. If eligible, candidates will receive their transport ticket on site during their visit. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Applicants must present proof of age, proof of residency, as well as proof of income or reside in a Qualified Census Tract (QCT).
